Sahara: A Thousand Paths into the Future (Sternberg Press, 2023)

An anthology of essays, poetry, fiction and visual discourses from the wide Sahara region. The anthology features writing by Felwine Sarr, Souleymane Bachir Diagne, Ben Okri and Badi, among others, as well as four pieces by myself: the anthology’s introduction, a reflection on a historical text from the twelfth-century Mali empire, ‘The Manden Charter: Unburdening the Grandparents’, and two interviews with choreographer Serge Aimé Coulibaly and climate activist Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim respectively.
